About Me

Hi, I’m Gill and I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor, using Person-centred, Psycho-dynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This means I can adapt my way of working to best meet your individual needs. I am just a person who has struggled and has sat in the clients’ chair, trying to make sense of how I feel. Through my own counselling experience, I understand how empowering, freeing and life changing therapy can be. This has inspired me to become a counsellor, as I can see the power of counselling. I am compassionate, relaxed and still a human. I am passionate about walking with people in the most difficult of times.
I have 28 years’ experience of working as a Nurse within the NHS, this means that I have supported people in their most vulnerable times. I have experience in working with Mental Health Charities alongside offering pastoral support and clinical supervision for Nurses. I am Neurodivergent, Menopause, LGBTQIA+ aware and DBS checked.

My Location

I currently offer face to face counselling in Frodsham town centre on Main Street. Frodsham is a very convenient location with a train station within walking distance of the counselling room. The M56, M6 motorways and the Mersey Gateway bridge also create easy access to Frodsham from Helsby, Runcorn, Widnes and surrounding areas.

I have a lovely peaceful, comfortable and confidential room where you can relax and take time just for you. I currently offer face to face/online sessions on a Thursday and Saturday morning and 9am-7pm on a Friday. Or if a an evening appointment is preferable I offer counselling sessions online only on a Tuesday evening from 6pm-9pm.
